100% of the Proceeds benefit the Greensboro Cerebral Palsy Infant/Toddler Association!

Drake Naylor was born on August 24, 2005. He has a rare chromosome abnormality which has left him deaf/blind and severally multi-handicapped. After realizing how many families, like us were affected by different disabilities, we wanted to help those that had helped us. In May of 2006, the Naylor family and Shane’s Sporting Clays decided to host an event to help support the Greensboro Cerebral Palsy Infant/Toddler Association.

Shane and Trish, along with the help of several friends and family hosted the “Drake Naylor Invitational”. We truly believed we would raise around $5,000. At the end of the day, on May 27, 2006, we had raised almost $53,000!!! That day was like no other for us! It showed not just our family and community, but Drake what a difference we can and do make. To date we have raised an ASTOUNDING $225,000!!! We hope to continue this event for as long as Drake will!

In 2006 the Drake Naylor Invitational raised $53,000 to benefit the Greensboro Cerebral Palsy Assoc.
We truly appreciate your support, your time and your thoughtfulness. Without the help of our many volunteers, this event would not have been possible. Thank you for giving these children a chance at a better life.

In 2007 the Drake Naylor Invitational raised $57,000 raised to build a playground at the Gateway School to benefit the GSO CP Infant/Toddler Program. We had a record breaking turnout of 166 shooters.  The money was spent on a state-of-the-art handicapped playground. It has all the amenities; low rise slide, swings designed for those children that can’t sit up, panels at ground level for those that can’t stand and a special hammock for proprioceptive input (used for calming effect). We are proud of this endeavor and encourage you to stop by and visit and see where your money was spent. This spring is going to be extra fun for these children!

In 2008 the Drake Naylor Invitational raised $62,000 raised to build a brand new communication center at the Gateway Education Center.

This has allowed us to build an incredible communication center. A designated room will house the devices purchased and create a safe environment for these children to learn from the most basic to the most complex ways of communicating. These children will finally have a chance to understand our world and more importantly, help us understand theirs.

The goal of the DNI is to continue to make a difference in the lives of those who helped Drake. With your continued support and donations, we will help improve our community together!

Thank You!

The 2010 DNI was a HUGE success!  See you next year!
